The Queen is in the Building

Hey guys,

This is my first blog post. YAYYYY (imaginary crowd cheering).

I am so excited to share my journey of getting my online degree with you. I have successfully completed and graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Business from Excelsior College. A year ago, I started the MBA there. I see myself finishing up by April of 2015. This will require a lot of dedication because I have to take extra classes on my own (credit-by-examination) in the next 5 months in order to graduate on time.

This is extremely ambitious of me because of my current responsibilities. I am married with 3 little children 10, 7, and 2 1/2. I just started a church. I dream of taking my LSAT's in February and I want to walk this July.  And I own an online business. I don't want to just walk in July,  I need to. I want to start law school this August (2015) but I am still fighting my old demons of procrastination and discouragement. In order to get ahead, I have to stop turning in things late.

Somebody asked me the other day. "What are you going to do with your MBA?" I really couldn't answer them because I don't even use or plan on using my undergrad degree in Business. I am a business owner at heart. I owned my own daycare for three years. A lot of what I learned helped me. I regretted not taking school as seriously as I should have.

In the past, I was a student that did the minimum to get the B, sometimes the A. I am very capable of being an A student. I just sometimes don't feel like it's worth the effort. At this point of my life that attitude doesn't serve me well any more. As a matter of fact, this attitude is killing me on so many levels.

Being in an online degree program, especially for my MBA, helped me to realize how much of a slacker I am in school. Recently, I have put that label to rest. But as I approach the half way point of this semester, I am feeling so uninterested. I am currently working now to break that pattern.

I create inspirational videos that help other people and I hope to help MYSELF in this area. Click here watch one of my most popular videos on Procrastination: http://bit.ly/11qBMnr

I hope to help inspire you to do better in your online degree even if you are just thinking about becoming an online student. My struggles can be overcome and the ideas that help me can help you. Stay tuned.

Best wishes on your success.
